How much is a non surgical brow lift?
The are now multiple options for an eyebrow or eyelid lift. Whilst the most long lasting treatment is surgery, non surgical treatment such as nonsurgical blepharoplasty is on increasing in popularity.
Non surgical brow lift comes in the form of injections such as botox or botulinum toxin, or fillers. They help to give the appearance of a skin lift around the upper eye without having had surgery.
The treatment you choose depends on your needs and it is important to discuss the options with your surgeon.
What are the non surgical eye lift options?
Dermal fillers include multiple brands such as Juvaderm, Restylane, Sculptra, Belotero and many more. They are used to add volume to the brow area which results in a lifting of the eyelid skin. The treatment can be completed in a few minutes on each side. There is some mild discomfort but many fillers now come with a local anaesthetic built in to make it more comfortable. You will need future injections to maintain the results but the treatment can last for up to a year in some patients.
Botox or botulinum toxin relaxes the muscle resulting in reduced wrinkles. It works well in the frown lines or glabellar area. The glabellar muscle creates the deep lines that develop between the brows when frowning.
Platelet rich plasma (PRP)
A PRP brow lift is not technically a brow lift. It is a treatment that can help give the illusion of a brow lift. PRP contains stem cells that can help to give thicker and fuller brows which gives them a more youthful and fresher appearance. It also helps rejuvenate the skin around the brow and the overall look is a healthier brow that may appear slightly higher.
Radiofrequency brow lift is a more recent option to elevate the brows without the need for surgery. The treatment eats the skin which is known to stimulate collagen production. Any effect after just one treatment may be very short term and multiple treatments are required to create a longer lasting result.
How long does a non surgical brow lift last?
Botulinum toxin treatments to lift the brows can last for 3-4 months and will then require top ups. The use of fillers can last for at least 6 months and may last for up to 1 year in some patients. Radiofrequency treatments may require regular top ups to continue stimulating collagen production in the skin.
